Carver County Household Organics Collection Pilot in
|
Carver County is proud to announce t he Household Organics Collection Pilot Project The purpose of this pilot project is to introduce the separation of household organics for curbside collection and composting. “Household Organics” are all materials that come from food scraps and food-soiled paper. These materials naturally decompose and break down into nutrient-rich compost. Waste Management, (WMI), has joined with Carver County to make this pilot project possible to select homes in the Chanhassen area. Now included with your existing Waste Management Yard Waste Plan, select homes will be able to participate with this special organics pilot project. Waste Management will collect the household organics right along with your yard waste and take these materials to a composting facility where it will be converted into a soil amendment. For more information about this Pilot Project, please contact Carver county at: 952-361-1800. To view a PDF of the Carver County Household Organics Brochure please click here.
